November 2010 - Submit Your Shop Talk Award Nominations

The end of the year is fast approaching! So we wanted to take the time to acknowledge all of the hard work retailers have done this year with our second annual Retail Concepts Shop Talk Awards!

So for those of your newbies out there, here's how it works -- email us with the name of your favorite store or retail concept and include 1-2 sentences explaining what makes it so great. We are looking for innovative and fresh concepts that really understand how to infuse their brand throughout everything they do.

Why should you bother to spend time sending us your nominations? Because next month our newsletter will be all about the top stores and what makes them so great. We look at it as opportunity for our newsletter readers to be introduced to some new concepts and ideas from other retailers. You may be saying to yourself -- "well, I think my own store is the best." So go ahead, nominate yourself, have your friends nominate you, and maybe everyone will get to read about you in the next newsletter!

What makes a store worthy of being a Shop Talk award winner?

We are looking for stores that best embody Retail Concepts' philosophy of what makes great retail so great:

  • Consistent branding and personality Unique product offerings
  • A clear understanding of what service really means to its customers
  • Defined target market that everything in the store is built around
  • Clean and uncluttered environment
  • Use of low cost or no cost ways to market and brand its store/location
